In July my friend went fishing with her older brother. She saw something in the bushes and told her brother that it kind of looked like a stuffed animal. Like a guinea pig stuffed animal. So she walked over to it and it moved! It was most definitely not a stuffed animal. She called me telling me of her discovery. The little thing had a pink streak in his hair and he had a harness on. There were no signs in the area saying a pet had been lost and I hadn't seen anything in the papers about a lost guinea pig.
My friend left her number taped to a pole up by the lake she found him at. We went to PetCo and the small critter expert looked him over. She said that judging by the ware and tear on his teeth and nails he had been lost for a month!
We talked to our husbands and the only way my friend could keep him was of we shared the responsibility. My husband agreed. Well after a month that didn't work out. He lives with us now but my friend still comes over to help take care of him.
He's a cuddly addition to our family.
